Scott Carr
Scott Carr is a digital strategist, developer, and founder of Scott Carr Web Design, a Naples-based studio specializing in custom websites built on Craft CMS. With a sharp focus on SEO, performance, and modern user experience, he helps businesses stand out online through clean, scalable solutions.
He is also the co-founder of Visit Naples, the fastest-growing digital visitor guide for the greater Naples area. In addition, Scott owns and operates Naples Electric Bikes, a mobile-based e-bike rental business, and leads digital development for Acorn Media in the Cayman Islands.
An entrepreneur at heart, Scott is passionate about helping small businesses grow their digital presence and connect with their audience more effectively.

1. What inspired you to get into this industry?
It actually started pretty casually — Kelly and I had our own e-bikes and rode them all over town. Everywhere we went, people would stop us to ask about them: “Where’d you get those?” or “Can we rent one?” After hearing it enough times, the light bulb went off — maybe this should be a business. That’s how Naples Electric Bikes was born. We started with just a few bikes and a simple idea: make it easy and fun for people to explore Naples!

2. What do you love most about being part of the tourism community?
With Naples Electric Bikes, what we love most is getting to be part of people’s vacation memories. We get to meet visitors from all over — and there's something really special about helping them explore Naples in a fun, active way that provides a totally different perspective.

3. What’s something most people don’t know about your business or what you do?
Most people don’t realize how much happens behind the scenes. Whether it’s managing the Visit Naples platform, handling digital strategy for clients, or fixing bikes for Naples Electric Bikes, there’s a lot of technical and creative work involved. It’s not just building websites or renting bikes — it’s about solving problems, supporting local businesses, and constantly improving how people experience Naples both online and in person.

6. Your favorite experience in town?
My wife and I started Naples Electric Bikes because we genuinely love riding e-bikes around town — it’s our favorite way to explore. Life gets busy, and we don’t always make it to the beach or out on the water, but every time we do take a boat trip or visit one of Naples' incredible beaches, it reminds us exactly why we chose to live here.

7. Any memorable visitor story or moment that stands out?
The multi-generational families we’ve had with Naples Electric Bikes always stand out. It’s amazing to see grandparents, parents, and kids all riding together — exploring Naples, getting some fresh air, and just enjoying the moment as a family. Those shared experiences are what it’s all about.

8. Your favorite time of year in SWFL?
Summer. Once season winds down, everything slows to a more relaxed pace, and the kids are out of school. It’s the perfect time to unwind, explore the area, and enjoy Naples without the crowds.
