About Bonita Springs

Whether you're discovering it for the first time or returning for more, Bonita Springs has a way of pulling you in. Tucked between Naples and Fort Myers along Florida's Gulf Coast, it's a town that blends beautiful beaches, scenic waterways and a genuine downtown scene that's been quietly coming into its own, with a little more Old Florida character than its neighbors.

Beaches and nature

Bonita Beach Park is the town's main beach, with Doc's Beach House right by the sand for a casual lunch. To the south, Barefoot Beach Preserve is one of the most natural stretches of coastline in the region, and to the north Lovers Key State Park has beaches, trails and paddling. Kayak the backwaters with CGT Kayaks or Mike's Coastal Expeditions, rent a boat from Bay Water Boat Rentals, or walk Cullum's Trail.

Downtown Bonita and the Imperial River

Downtown centers on the Imperial River and Riverside Park, with live music nights at Sugarshack Downtown, drinks at Rooftop at Riverside and local brews at Chubby Mermaid Brewing Co and Riptide Brewing Company. Nearby are the gardens and wildlife of Wonder Gardens, the historic Shangri-La Springs, exhibitions and classes at Arts Bonita, and the Bonita Springs Historical Society. Families love Flamingo Island Flea Market, Farmer Mike's U-Pick and mini golf at Congo River Golf.
