Q & A with Yosie

  • 1. What inspired you to get into this industry?

I was inspired to enter the hospitality industry because I’ve always been drawn to creating experiences that make people feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about connecting with guests, anticipating their needs, and turning moments into lasting memories. The combination of creativity, service, and relationship-building that defines hospitality has always felt like a natural fit — it’s an industry where every day offers an opportunity to make someone’s experience truly special.

  • 2. What do you love most about being part of the tourism community?

What I love most about being part of the tourism community is the sense of connection — not just with visitors, but with the people and stories that make a destination special. Tourism brings together so many passionate individuals working toward a common goal: to share the beauty, culture, and spirit of a place with the world. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how our collective efforts can shape first impressions, build lasting relationships, and strengthen our local economy. Every partnership, event, and guest experience contributes to something bigger — a thriving, welcoming community that we can all be proud of.

  • 3. What’s something most people don’t know about your business or what you do?

Most people don’t realize how much heart and strategy go into what we do behind the scenes. Beyond selling rooms or promoting the hotel, my role is really about storytelling — connecting people to a sense of place, emotion, and experience. Every partnership, campaign, or event we create at The Perry Hotel Naples is designed to build community and bring people together in meaningful ways. From welcoming a local yoga group at sunrise to hosting national corporate meetings or destination weddings, every detail is intentional — and it’s that combination of creativity, collaboration, and care that truly defines what we do.

  • 4. Your favorite local spot?

Without a doubt, my favorite local spot is the rooftop at Tigress Restaurant & Rooftop Bar at The Perry Hotel Naples. There’s nothing quite like watching the sunset over the Cocohatchee River, cocktail in hand, as the sky turns shades of gold and coral. The view is breathtaking — it’s where the energy of Naples meets a peaceful, waterfront escape. Whether you’re a guest or a local, it’s the perfect place to unwind, connect, and take in the beauty of where we live.

  • 5. Your favorite meal in town?

My favorite meal in town has to be the Aged Crown of Duck at Tigress Restaurant & Rooftop Bar. It completely captures what makes Tigress special — rich, elegant, and full of flavor, yet incredibly balanced. Celebrity Chef Dale Talde and Executive Chef Iggy Ortiz have created something unforgettable with that dish — it’s an experience as much as a meal.

  • 6. Your favorite experience in town?

My favorite experience in town is right here at The Perry Hotel Naples, down by our private marina and Perry Dock. There’s something magical about watching the boats come and go, the sun reflecting off the Cocohatchee River, and guests heading out on adventures with All Water Excursions. One of the most special experiences we offer is the water shuttle to the privacy of Barefoot Beach — it feels like discovering a hidden piece of paradise just minutes from the hotel. It’s peaceful, scenic, and such a uniquely Naples way to spend the day.

  • 7. Any memorable visitor story or moment that stands out?

One of my favorite memories was watching a couple who got engaged on our rooftop at sunset return months later to celebrate their wedding weekend with family and friends. Seeing their story come full circle — from that first “yes” overlooking the Cocohatchee River to welcoming their loved ones back for the big day — was such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. Moments like that capture the spirit of hospitality at The Perry Hotel Naples — creating places where memories begin and where people want to return to celebrate life’s milestones.

  • 8. Your favorite time of year in Southwest Florida?

My favorite time of year in Southwest Florida is definitely the holiday and winter season. There’s an incredible energy in the air — the weather is perfect, our hotels and restaurants are buzzing with visitors from all over, and the community feels so alive. It’s also our high season in hospitality, which means long days but some of the most rewarding ones, seeing guests experience Naples at its best — from festive waterfront dinners to golden sunsets over the marina.
