Grouper & Chips

Grouper & Chips is a small, unpretentious seafood restaurant in Downtown Naples, a self-described "hole-in-the-wall" where Chef Francis Pischner cooks from copyrighted recipes. The kitchen relies on fresh fish delivered daily, along with shrimp, crab and vegetables, and all frying is done in fresh canola oil. Regulars will sometimes wait for a table.

The grouper sandwich on a challah roll is the signature, served in a basket with fries and coleslaw. The menu also runs to a Fisherman's Platter, bouillabaisse in a tomato-fennel broth, jumbo lump crab cakes, blackened mahi mahi tacos and sautéed grouper with lemon beurre blanc. Seafood comes fried, blackened, sautéed or broiled, and low-fat and low-carb dishes make it a comfortable choice for health-conscious diners as well as anyone after a no-fuss seafood meal.
