Luigi's Pizza

Luigi's Pizza is a family-run Italian pizzeria on Tamiami Trail East, owned by Carlo and his wife Kelly, who have been making pizza and Italian food for more than fifty years. Before opening Luigi's, Carlo ran Carlo's pizza in the Park Shore Plaza. The menu centres on round and Sicilian pizzas, including Luigi's Special and a white, sauceless Pizza Bianco with ricotta and mozzarella.

The restaurant is also known for its steak subs, made with thin-sliced USDA Prime Rib and melted mozzarella, and for the Godfather, a big sub piled with prosciutto, capicolla, salami, ham, mortadella and provolone. Lasagna, spaghetti, homemade sausage and meatballs, and antipasto salads round out the menu, with locally grown vegetables in the subs and salads. Beer and wine are served, and it suits families and anyone after a hearty, casual Italian meal.
