Naples Pier
Naples Pier, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Southwest Florida, stretches 1,000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico and has long been a favorite for sightseeing, fishing, and enjoying the natural beauty of Naples’ coastline. Originally built in 1888, the pier is steeped in history and remains a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
The structure sustained major damage during Hurricane Ian in 2022, with additional impacts from subsequent storms. Today, only a small portion of the pier is open for pedestrian access, and fishing is not currently permitted. Concessions and amenities at the pier remain closed, though restrooms and beach access are available nearby. The City of Naples has launched a comprehensive rebuild project that will restore the pier to modern standards while preserving its historic character. In the meantime, the pier continues to serve as a symbol of resilience and a scenic vantage point for sunsets, dolphin watching, and the Gulf’s panoramic views.
