Dolce & Salato

Dolce & Salato is an Italian food boutique and cafe on Fifth Avenue South in historic downtown Naples, within walking distance of the beach. Owners Agostino Nastasi and Natascia Marchesi, both from Italy, run a modern deli-style space with an exhibition food prep area, display cases of cakes, pastries and cold cuts, and a bar serving coffees, wines and imported waters and beers. Tables sit inside, in the courtyard and along the street.

The menu centres on breakfast and brunch: croissants baked to order with fillings such as Nutella or almond, sfogliatella, oven-baked Italian frittatas, egg soufflé dishes and grain power bowls. Shelves hold imported Italian products including balsamic vinegars, olive oils, pastas and cheeses, and custom gift baskets are available. It suits a relaxed morning near the beach or a browse for Italian pantry goods.
