Elsie Mendez
From the airwaves to artisan displays, my journey has always centered around connection and creativity. After a fulfilling career in television and radio broadcasting in the US and Colombia, I’ve embarked on a new adventure: founding Elsie in Naples at The Perry Hotel. This boutique is more than a store — it’s a celebration of style, soul, and the beauty of happiness. Each piece reflects the joy of discovery and the art of storytelling, continuing my lifelong passion in a vibrant new form.

1. What inspired you to get into this industry?
My journey into fashion retail, producing my own jewelry collections, clothing and very unique accessories began with a deep love for style and a form of self expression. The beauty of happiness through clothing and pieces that tell a story inspires me daily. Fashion should be fun, bold, and meaningful.

7. Any memorable visitor story or moment that stands out?
One story that always stays with me is a woman who was visiting Naples on a girl's trip. She was browing unsure of what fitted her. We ended up styling her with a silk set that lit her up instantly! She looked at herself in the mirror and said, "I haven't felt this confident in years!" She came back the next day with her whole group, and we had the best time styling each one of them.
