Van Van Cuban Cafe is a family-owned Cuban restaurant in Midtown Naples. It was started by a family who moved from Cuba to the United States in 2013, hoping to share their culinary heritage. The kitchen cooks traditional dishes from recipes passed down through the family, along with a few modern twists.
Sandwiches are a big part of the menu, including the Cuban with slow-roasted pork, ham and Swiss, the Media Noche on sweet bread, and Pan con Bistec. Plates include ropa vieja, mojo-marinated lechon asado, crispy vaca frita and churrasco with house chimichurri, with sides such as tostones, moros and sweet plantains. Cafe Cubano, mojitos and Cuban sodas are on the drinks list, and flan and tres leches come for dessert. It suits a relaxed lunch or dinner with family or friends.
