My name is Kaylee DeForge, and I’m the Sales Manager at Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Naples, where I have the joy of helping guests experience the ultimate coastal getaway experience. I specialize in creating memorable stays for guests, planning special events, and building community partnerships that showcase the best of Southwest Florida.   • 1. What inspired you to get into this industry?

    I’ve always loved hospitality and the magic of helping people create memories that last a lifetime. Knowing that I can connect visitors with the beauty, charm, and fun of Southwest Florida inspired me to make this my career.

  • 2. What do you love most about being part of the tourism community?

    I love the energy and collaboration within the tourism community. It’s incredible to see so many local businesses working together to create amazing, one-of-a-kind experiences for visitors and to help our region shine as a destination.

  • 3. What’s something most people don’t know about your business or what you do?

    There’s so much more to Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Naples than meets the eye! Beyond welcoming guests to our rooms and suites, we design unique events, craft special packages, and team up with local partners to make every stay extra memorable. Every day is an opportunity to bring a little Margaritaville magic to life.

  • 4. Your favorite local spot(s)?

    I’m a true beach bum - Clam Pass Beach Park and Vanderbilt Beach are two of my favorites. I also love strolling along Fifth Avenue South to take in the shops, dining, and lively atmosphere.

  • 5. Your favorite meal in town?

    Fried Oreos paired with the Perfect Margarita at our 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill. It’s the ultimate sweet and tropical treat combo!

  • 6. Your favorite experience in town?

    The Naples Trolley is a must! We have a stop right outside Compass Hotel, so you can easily hop on and explore all the fun spots Naples has to offer. It’s a fun and relaxing way to see the city while soaking in the local vibe.

  • 7. Any memorable visitor story or moment that stands out?

    One of my favorite experiences was planning a local Pink Pickleball Party. We organized a custom room block and a very special event at our 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill with live music, food, and fun. The Bird Gardens of Naples even made a surprise appearance for photos! It was such a lively, joyful day for everyone!

  • 8. Your favorite time of year in SWFL?

    I love the winter months (November through March) when the weather is picture-perfect, the beaches are buzzing, and visitors from all over get to enjoy everything Southwest Florida has to offer.
