A private yacht charter in Naples gives your group a boat, a captain and often a crew for a half day (4 hours) or a full day (8 hours). Most charter yachts here take up to 12 guests, and prices are per boat, not per person: from about $1,500 to $6,000 for a half day on a sport yacht, $6,500 to $12,000 on a flybridge or motor yacht, and more for a superyacht. Boats leave from Naples City Dock and Naples Bay, or pick up on Marco Island.

Below: how a charter works and what it costs, the Naples charter companies we recommend, every yacht you can book from Naples with its size and price, and where to go, from a Keewaydin beach day to a few nights in Key West.

How a private yacht charter works

You book the whole yacht for your group. Bigger yachts don't take more people (most are licensed for up to 12 guests, whatever their size); they give you more room, shade, cabins and crew.

  • You set the plan. Tell the captain what you'd like: a beach day on Keewaydin Island, lunch at a waterfront restaurant, dolphins, a sunset. They'll fit the route to the tide, the wind and your time.
  • Where you board. Naples Nantucket Yacht Group's yachts leave from Naples City Dock or The Boathouse on Naples Bay. Fathom Charters picks up in Naples or on Marco Island.
  • Captain and crew. Every charter comes with a licensed captain; yachts from about 50 feet up add a crew of two to four to serve, anchor and look after the water toys.
  • Food and drink. Water and ice are usually included. Bring your own food and drinks, plan a stop at a waterfront restaurant, or ask about catering.
  • When to go. November to May brings the calmest, driest days. Summer mornings are best, before the afternoon thunderstorms build.

What it costs

Prices are for the whole yacht. These are the companies' starting rates as of November 2026; holidays and peak season can cost more.

Superyachts

The biggest yachts in Naples, for occasions. Prices on request.

Smaller private boats

Pontoons, tiki boats and catamarans from local tour companies: the budget-friendly way to have a boat to yourselves for Keewaydin, a sunset or the canals.

Where to go on a yacht charter

Keewaydin Island

Eight miles of undeveloped beach just south of Gordon Pass, reachable only by boat. Boats anchor off the north end for a swim and a picnic on the sand; on weekends it's a lively scene, so ask your captain about quieter spots further south. Half a day is plenty. See how to visit Keewaydin Island.

Port Royal, Naples Bay and the dolphins

Cruise past the waterfront estates of Port Royal and up Naples Bay, then out through Gordon Pass, where bottlenose dolphins often ride the bow wave. An easy half day, and a good first charter.

Sunset on the Gulf

Leave about two hours before sunset, anchor off the beach as the sky changes, and come back in the dusk. Our guide to the best places to watch the sunset has more.

Lunch by boat: Marco Island and Goodland

Head south to Marco Island for lunch at a waterfront restaurant such as CJ's on the Bay, or to Goodland, where Stan's Idle Hour throws its famous Sunday Fun Day and, each January, the Mullet Festival. Allow four hours or more.

Cabbage Key

A tiny island up the coast in Pine Island Sound, with an old inn and a restaurant whose walls are papered in signed dollar bills. It's a full day from Naples, and worth it.

Multi-day trips

Fathom Charters sails to Key West on two-day trips, sleeping aboard the Tiara 43LS. Naples Nantucket Yacht Group's Sunseekers and Viking 82 take multi-day charters to the Florida Keys and the Bahamas; the group also books week-long charters on yachts based further afield.

Before you book

  • Count everyone, children included: 12 guests is the most nearly every charter yacht can take, and smaller boats take fewer (8 on the Formula 35, 4 on the Riva).
  • Choose half or full day: a half day suits a sunset, the dolphins or Keewaydin; Cabbage Key and a long lunch need a full day.
  • Ask what the price includes: fuel, the captain's fee, and whether a gratuity is added.
  • Bring sunscreen, hats, swimsuits and towels, and plan your food and drinks.
  • Some yachts ask for one guest aged 21 or older with a valid driver's license.
  • Ask about the weather policy. Fathom Charters refunds or credits trips it cancels for weather.
